The overarching objective of the Decision Support and Performance Monitoring Unit at the University of Hafr Al Batin, through its goals, responsibilities, and functions, is to become one of the university’s principal centers for supporting decision-making across its academic, administrative, and financial sectors by serving as the official source of accurate and reliable data.
The Unit continuously monitors, tracks, and analyzes phenomena and variables affecting the university’s performance. It also develops key performance indicators (KPIs) and other supporting indicators that assist decision-makers in anticipating future developments, shaping strategic directions, forecasting potential outcomes, and proposing solutions to address possible challenges.
The Unit aims to establish a central database based on data generated from the university's information systems.
To automate data acquisition through integration among the various systems operating within the university.
To facilitate administrative procedures by providing, modeling, and organizing data and information to ensure easy access whenever needed.
To enable researchers and university staff to access open data.
To enable the university’s vice presidencies, deanships, and all beneficiary entities to access data and reports.
The Decision Support and Performance Monitoring Unit at the University of Hafr Al Batin serves as the official body responsible for facilitating the decision-making process across the university’s academic, administrative, and financial sectors.
The Unit fulfills this role by collecting data from its original sources, verifying its accuracy, and organizing it into analytical information models that support and expedite decision-making.

The Decision Support and Performance Monitoring Unit was established at the university pursuant to Decision No. 6981/057/42, dated 4/7/1442 AH. The Unit reports directly to the University President, who mandated its establishment to serve as the official reference for all matters related to data both within and outside the university. The Unit oversees all matters related to academic, financial, and administrative affairs. It is one of the university’s organizational units whose primary responsibility is to support decision-makers by transforming data into valuable analytical information models that facilitate and accelerate the decision-making process.
