Dr. Badr bin Jamaan Al-Shaeri

Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research

Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the noblest of prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Vice Rectorate, which we seek to make one of the important platforms for introducing the Vice Rectorate, its affiliated deanships, and departments. I also hope that it will serve as an effective means of supporting the Vice Rectorate’s role within the development system that the university aspires to achieve as part of its strategic vision.

The Vice Rectorate for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research represents one of the university’s important pillars and one of its foundations for becoming a leading educational institution locally, regionally, and globally. It plays a pivotal role in providing an attractive environment that stimulates creativity through the systems of graduate studies and scientific research, particularly in light of the unlimited support given to science and education by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince—may Allah protect them—through their attention to university education, with the aim of achieving global leadership and genuine excellence in building a knowledge society.

As previously mentioned, the Vice Rectorate for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research seeks to provide an environment that fosters innovation and excellence in its educational and research outcomes. The Vice Rectorate is committed to graduating distinguished and entrepreneurial generations, introducing graduate studies programs, and developing scientific research, which is considered one of the most important tools for achieving the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030. It also contributes to the university’s role in economic and social development and the transition toward a knowledge-based economy, given the vital role of scientific research in the advancement and progress of nations across various developmental fields, and in transforming knowledge into an economic industry that contributes to the development and well-being of societies.

The Vice Rectorate seeks academic and research excellence by providing renewed infrastructure, including libraries, information resources, diverse electronic services, consulting institutes, specialized research centers, laboratory facilities, and continuous funding through expertise houses, research chairs, and other resources. It also selects prestigious international universities for the scholarship of teaching assistants and lecturers.

Based on the Vice Rectorate’s commitment to governance in its procedures and decisions, it has adopted automation and electronic services as a core approach. Through its deanships, the Scientific Council, departments, and specialized relevant committees, the Vice Rectorate works to provide the university with distinguished national academic cadres, develop their skills, and enhance their capabilities in partnership with other university units in an institutional and integrated manner. This contributes to improving and enhancing the quality of academic and research outcomes in order to meet the requirements of national and international accreditations at the University of Hafr Al Batin.

In conclusion, I hope that this website will continue to make distinguished and renewed contributions to supporting and developing the educational and research process at the university, and that it will meet the aspirations of His Excellency the University President and the ambitions that the Vice Rectorate’s staff seek to achieve. I wish everyone success and prosperity.
