The university, in partnership with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, activated strategic cooperation between the two parties. This took place in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Badr bin Jamaan Al-Shaeri, and His Excellency the Executive Vice President for the Strategic Sector at the Center, Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Badr, on the sidelines of the International Non-Profit Sector Forum, held in Riyadh from December 3 to 5.
The cooperation includes several tracks aimed at supporting the development of the non-profit sector in the Kingdom. These include preparing specialized academic programs and educational curricula, encouraging researchers to study the sector’s priorities and explore the establishment of research chairs, developing professional training packages, launching initiatives to establish non-profit business incubators and accelerators, promoting the culture of volunteer work, enhancing community participation, and incorporating the Center’s national research priorities into the university’s research priorities.
This cooperation comes as part of the efforts of both parties to support the non-profit sector ecosystem and keep pace with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in the fields of education, scientific research, and community development.
