The Laboratories and Labs Unit was established pursuant to University President's Decision No. (279119), dated 21/06/1440 AH, with the objective of developing and enhancing the laboratories across the University's colleges and improving their operational performance. The University is committed to providing all laboratory requirements, including equipment, materials, chemical solutions, and other essential resources that contribute to the success of the educational process by stimulating students' interest, strengthening observation and accurate recording skills, promoting evidence-based reasoning, and developing valuable practical and scientific competencies.
Laboratories constitute a fundamental component of educational excellence in any higher education institution. This is achieved through the establishment of modern, well-equipped laboratories furnished with advanced instruments, equipment, and technologies that prepare students for successful professional careers.
The University maintains a wide range of general and specialized laboratories that enable students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings while equipping them with advanced technical skills required to compete effectively in the labor market. Alongside the continuous enhancement of laboratory facilities, the University has appointed qualified technical staff across various disciplines to support laboratory operations and provide services to students and researchers. These efforts aim to achieve comprehensive quality standards, maximize the utilization of laboratory resources, improve operational efficiency, and support the University's institutional accreditation.
The colleges and branch campuses of the University of Hafr Al Batin include more than 180 laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, materials, and modern educational technologies, including interactive smart boards and instructional studios. These facilities provide an advanced learning environment across medical, health, scientific, and engineering disciplines. The University is also currently establishing additional specialized laboratories to support its newly established colleges.
To support the University's vision by providing a high-quality academic environment that promotes excellence, enhances the competitiveness of its graduates, and contributes to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
To enhance the readiness of the University's laboratories to the highest standards by optimizing the utilization of technical, laboratory, and scientific expertise and resources to meet the University's current and future needs.
