The Academic Recruitment Unit is one of the organizational units under the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs. It is responsible for organizing and developing faculty recruitment processes to enhance academic planning efficiency and support the quality of the University's educational and research outcomes.
The Unit identifies the academic staffing needs of colleges and departments based on teaching workloads and approved study plans. It reviews requests for overload teaching assignments and adjunct faculty appointments and evaluates recruitment requests according to transparent and objective criteria that ensure fairness while addressing the University's specialized academic needs. The Unit also supports decisions related to faculty appointments, contract renewals, and contract terminations through data analysis, periodic reporting, and the submission of recommendations to the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, the Unit seeks to improve the operational efficiency of academic workforce allocation, minimize underutilized low-enrollment course sections, achieve balanced teaching workloads, and establish a comprehensive database of distinguished academic talent. These efforts contribute to enhancing educational quality and achieving the University's strategic objectives.
To be a leader in attracting distinguished academic talent and fostering a work environment that promotes excellence.
To provide distinguished, highly professional services to the University's community by adopting best practices in operational excellence.
