University of Hafr Al Batin Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the National eLearning Center to Enhance Cooperation in E-Learning and E-Training

The university signed a memorandum of understanding with the National eLearning Center to further develop cooperation between the two parties in the fields of education, training, and professional development. This cooperation aims to unify efforts to enhance human capabilities by enabling e-learning and e-training for university staff. The signing ceremony was held at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Bani Al-Harbi, and His Excellency the Director General of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Waleedi.

The memorandum includes enabling the university to obtain e-learning licenses from the center in accordance with its standards, as well as empowering e-learning and e-training practitioners at the university through professional certifications. This will be achieved by holding introductory workshops, supporting them in developing the related training plan, and linking the university with accredited entities that provide e-learning and e-training. The memorandum also includes exploring the possibility of integrating the FutureX digital education and training ecosystem with the university’s e-learning platform, with the aim of exchanging content and data, in addition to receiving support from the center in developing flexible learning pathways that serve the needs of the university and its staff, in partnership with local and international content providers.

The memorandum also covers cooperation in studies, research, and the National Digital Education Index, in addition to contributing open educational resources to the National Open Educational Content Program, with the aim of promoting and enriching reliable content and raising community awareness.

The signing of this memorandum reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing the quality of e-learning by utilizing technical tools and applications to develop the educational environment, in support of labor market requirements and sustainable development, and in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
