The Partnerships and Industrial Relations Department is concerned with continuous cooperation and opening channels of communication between the university and regional and international bodies and organizations, in order to align the university’s outcomes with labor market needs and meet the changing and evolving requirements of society. This is achieved through establishing partnerships and agreements with various entities and centers, whether local, regional, or international, as well as with all economic, productive, and industrial institutions and companies interested in education and scientific research, in a manner that benefits all parties.
A leading model in building strategic partnerships and enhancing fruitful cooperation with industrial and community sectors, in order to achieve integration between academic education and developmental needs, contribute effectively to the development of the knowledge economy, and support innovation and scientific research.
The Partnerships and Industrial Relations Department seeks to strengthen the links between the university and the industrial and community sectors through building sustainable strategic partnerships. The department aims to activate cooperation in the fields of scientific research, training, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer, in a manner that contributes to developing
- Supervising the preparation of plans for international cooperation activities and local partnerships within the framework of the university’s objectives and policies.
- Supervising the drafting of documents and contracts for agreements and partnerships, and following up on the completion of their procedures inside and outside the university.
- Supervising existing agreements and partnerships, continuously following up on their review and evaluation, and preparing periodic reports on them.
- Following up on the implementation of partnership and international cooperation plans after their approval.
- Preparing periodic data related to the implementation of cooperation agreements and partnerships.
- Communicating with the university’s partner entities and discussing issues related to the executive dimension of agreements and partnerships.
- Evaluating partnerships and international cooperation between the university and its partners in the past and present.
- Building further partnerships and international cooperation between the university and its partners, including universities, organizations, and local and international institutions.
- Providing an appropriate environment for developing partnerships and international cooperation between the university and its partners.
- Participating in meetings and discussions with delegations from outside the Kingdom and following up on the outcomes and recommendations of such meetings.
- Direct communication with ministries, government agencies, and others in all matters falling within its jurisdiction, while taking into account the functional level.
