The Health, Environment, and Safety Department in educational facilities constitutes a system concerned with the prevention of work-related injuries and diseases, as well as the protection and promotion of health.
A healthy and safe professional environment free from injuries and accidents.
Protecting lives and property at the university by using scientific principles, clear systematic procedures and instructions, and distinguished human resources to control, prevent, or reduce risks.
Establishing an effective system for managing occupational safety and health operations at the university and continuously updating it.
Enhancing the readiness of the university and its branches to implement and activate occupational safety and health plans.
Preserving the university’s buildings, facilities, equipment, and property.
Taking all necessary measures to prevent or reduce material losses that may accompany risks and accidents at the university.
The Health, Environment, and Safety Department was established pursuant to the decision of the University Vice President No. (22660), dated 16/10/1443 AH. Occupational health involves maintaining the highest degree of physical and mental safety and health for workers across all professions. It also contributes effectively to improving their productivity, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in addition to reducing losses resulting from accidents, God forbid, and their economic and social impacts. The Health, Environment, and Safety Management System is considered the general framework through which all responsibilities related to occupational safety and health are managed for all employees and stakeholders dealing with any institution. This system helps institutions increase the effectiveness of their performance through an integrated approach that ultimately leads to a higher level of quality.
