The University of Hafr Al Batin signed a memorandum of understanding with SEA Ventures to enhance cooperation in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation, and to empower university graduates to launch their entrepreneurial ventures. This contributes to supporting the national economy and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in diversifying the economy and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship. The signing took place on the sidelines of Biban 2025 Forum.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Atiq Al-Anzi, and on behalf of the company by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Kuwaiti.
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs stated that this partnership comes as an extension of the university’s efforts to build an environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, and to empower its students and graduates to acquire the skills that qualify them to compete in the labor market and contribute effectively to national development.
The memorandum aims to foster cooperation in several areas, most notably the design and implementation of initiatives and programs in entrepreneurship and innovation, the establishment of an Entrepreneurship Club to serve university staff and students, and the provision of accredited professional certification programs and professional training support to qualify national talent.
The areas of cooperation also include conducting joint research in entrepreneurship, providing scientific, research, and technical consultations, supporting student projects and faculty research initiatives, exchanging knowledge, information, and databases between the two parties, and utilizing facilities and services in a manner that serves the public interest.
Both parties will also cooperate in promoting joint programs and initiatives through media and marketing channels, as well as participating in events organized by either party, thereby enhancing integration between the academic sector and the entrepreneurship sector.
