Under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, the University of Hafr Al Batin, represented by the Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs, is organizing the Career Guidance and Counseling Day under the theme “Towards Competitive Ambition and Distinguished Skills.” The event will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 16–17, 2025, at the university’s main campus.
The occasion was attended by a number of officials and representatives from government entities in the governorate, several participating organizations, as well as university leaders, staff, and students.
His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Bani Al-Harbi, inaugurated the activities of the Career Guidance and Counseling Day and toured the exhibition, which featured the participation of more than 27 leading companies and entities across various fields, alongside the participation of the university’s colleges. During the tour, His Excellency was briefed on the services provided by the participating entities.
His Excellency also witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding on the sidelines of the exhibition with some of the participating entities. These partnerships aim to enhance cooperation in the field of cooperative training for university students and graduates across various disciplines, in alignment with workplace needs and in a manner that contributes to improving and developing students’ skills.
In his speech on the significance of this event, His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Bani Al-Harbi, stated: “Career Guidance and Counseling Day is concerned with the nation’s gains and human resources, as well as the minds, innovations, and educational outcomes that the university possesses, which, by Allah’s will, will be reflected in national contributions and comprehensive development in our beloved country.”
He further noted that “through its educational programs, the university offers numerous academic programs that refine students’ skills, in addition to soft skills that serve as another essential asset for our male and female graduates, enabling them to become among the key pillars of comprehensive development in this generous nation.”
Dr. Al-Harbi emphasized that “on this day, we are proud of our sons and daughters, and we are working diligently to provide all possible means to foster excellence and creativity through our success partners and by addressing the needs and objectives of the labor market, enabling graduates to enter it with competence in service of their King and country, and to contribute to achieving the objectives of our cherished Vision 2030.”
Career Guidance and Counseling Day aims to enhance graduates’ self-confidence by engaging them in events, showcasing their projects, inventions, and innovations, and enabling them to interact with representatives of companies and organizations. This helps them define their career goals with confidence and clarity, in addition to assisting them in exploring fields and specializations and identifying the key requirements of the labor market.
The Career Guidance and Counseling Day is accompanied by a number of workshops delivered by experts and consultants, aimed at developing the skills of university students and graduates and equipping them with the necessary expertise to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market, in addition to providing important individual and group career counseling sessions.
