This service enables faculty members to create and publish discussion topics through Blackboard to promote interaction and the exchange of ideas among students. Faculty members can define participation instructions, set availability dates, monitor responses, and grade student contributions.

Service Steps
1.    Log in to Blackboard using your university account.
2.    Select the required course.
3.    Go to Course Content.
4.    Click the (+) icon where you want to add the discussion.
5.    Select Create, then choose Discussion.
6.    Enter the discussion title, topic, and participation instructions.
7.    Configure participation settings, such as allowing students to reply or view their classmates’ posts.
8.    Set the discussion availability and closing dates, if required.
9.    Enable grading and specify the maximum grade if the discussion is assessed.
10.    Click Save.
11.    Change the discussion status from Hidden from Students to Visible to Students.
12.    Monitor, respond to, and grade student contributions.

•    An active university account.
•    The course must be assigned to the faculty member in Blackboard.
•    Students must be enrolled in the course.
•    The discussion title, topic, and participation instructions must be prepared.
•    An internet connection.
•    Compliance with university policies and online communication guidelines.
